moonlit

Before you, my life was like a moonless night. Very dark, but there were stars - points of light and reason. And then you shot across my sky like a meteor. Suddenly everything was on fire; there was brilliancy, there was beauty. When you were gone, when the meteor had fallen over horizon, everything went black. Nothing had changed, but my eyes were blinded by the light. I couldn't see the stars anymore. And there was no more reason for anything.

Hey Everyone!!

sorry for the absent in blogging.. stressed up and busy with PROJECTS and STUDYING.. so ya..

so much things has happened.. i will try to recall.. so beware of long entry! :D

last weekend, went to watch "Made Of Honour". it was a nice show.. a funny but romantic show, which deserved my 4-hours of waiting.. why wait for 4 hours? because when me and my friend reached the cinema, the difference between the 2 time slots is 4 hours.. plus the first show was like selling fast.. selling fast = first row left.. so ya.. then after buying the tickets, went to walk around VivoCity.. it's been a long time since i went to VivoCity..

then on the following Monday, it was a very pissed off day for me.. my project group and i supposed to have presentation.. let me ask all of you.. normally, presentation is having powerpoint slides and talk about your topic, right? but for my group, we have no powerpoint slides, no aids.. nothing! just because our leader was sick, and didn't tell anyone of us.. and also that the previous day, i called him for about the presentation.. and he sounded OKAY!! so......
we have to come out with things to present, otherwise we would not have any marks for presentation.. Thank and Praise God.. He given me ideas to present within 10 minutes, and the words to say in the presentation.. and the lecturer gave a good remark for that.. Thank and Praise God!!

on Tuesday, 2 tests!! Gosh~ and the time difference between 2 tests was like 2 hours!! not enough time to study!! but again.. when you tab onto God, He will help and bring you through.. Thank God for helping me to recall everything that i have studied for the 2 tests..
in the evening, went for exemplify.. the message was very very powerful.. and Dr. Dag was very anointed.. he is a very funny person.. but straight forward kind of person.. i really enjoyed Exemplify for the 3 days!

then on Wednesday, my lecturer dropped a bomb on us.. "The project must be HANDWRITTEN.." everyone was like WHAT!? and i have already completed half of it already! and now i have to redo again.. sian:( thinking of ideas in designing the prroject.. haiz..

guess i will stop here..

oh ya.. about my job attachment.. the marina club that said that i was been selected, they have not get back to me.. i'm very worried that i don't get it.. and also... i was like thinking since yesterday.. working at the restaurant in the Zoological Gardens is interesting.. how do you think? please drop me a comment about this!! thank you! your comment is appreiated!!

hey!! i'm back to blog again..

last Sunday was Midori's and Bertram's Birthday.. the food was nice.. lots of peopl went.. sorry Midori.. for the whip cream messy.. really sorry..

after the birthday, a few of us(me, Gabriel, Choo Shuin, Michelle, Jasmine, Newlyn) stayed over for movie marathon! but halfway through the night, most of us fell asleep.. the first one is VIRNICE NG!! haiz.. but give her the credit that she made the big cards.. plus late nights.. so okay lah.. :D

then in the morning, we watched cartoon.. so Shuin was like channel hopping.. then he stopped at a show called Mickey Mouse clubhouse.. some show that the kids have to follow what Mickey was saying.. and guess what? Shuin and me was like following all of it!! haha~ Michelle was like cannot tahan me and Shuin.. then after that show, we were like saying "What if there is Dora the Explorer? then we watch.." so we started channel hopping.. and to our amusement, Dora the explorer was at another channel! we were like laughing and following was Dora was saying.. super unexpected!

oh ya.. during the night, Choo Shuin found this super funny Idol wannaby video!! the title was "ken lee".. when you watch the video, you will know why..

I WANT TO THANK GOD THAT I LEFT 2 MORE PROJECTS TO FINISH!! JIA YOU!!

this have been my worst 2 weeks of my life.. even army wasn't that bad..
for the last and this week, i have been having tests and tests and tests.. studying for tests is still
not so bad.. but the duration to study for the tests is really suckly short!! 2 days to study for 6
chapters! how to study? plus 2 tests back to back.. it's killing me!!
plus PROJECTS!! 3 group projects and 1 individual project.. that's for every group.. but for
me, the 3 projects become 2 individual projects and 1 group project.. so in conclusion, i have...
3 INDIVIDUAL PROJECTS AND 1 GROUP PROJECT!!
and i'm still part of the group project!! ARGH!! i'm going crazy!! i want to give up!!
plus my sickness!! for the yesterday and today, my nose haven't been stop dripping.. just
imagine how much tissue have i used? CLOSE TO A BOX!!
i just feel very xin ku.. very terrible..
just want to sleep and not wake up..
feeling so sickly..
plus all the stress..
it's killing me..
i want to press on..
but i'm on my extra battery..
after this..
i may just collapse..
i'm just very very very tired..

i'm back to blogging for this week again..

so sorry for not updating for a long time.. tests and projects piling up.. so have to clear them first..

let's talk about last week.. last Tuesday was my first time that i went to a concert.. it's Joelle's Chorale Concert at the Esplanade.. i went with Midori and Shiyun.. she's living near my block, and i don't know that.. anyway, the concert was very good!! i really enjoyed it very much.. and WELL DONE JOELLE!! you did well.. meow~

last Thursday had a test.. Kitchen Organisation.. teaching you the different layouts that a kitchen may have.. and types of kitchen equipments.. i can say.. thank God that the paper was relatively easy..

last Friday, i got back my GPA for the 3/4 of my academic year.. i just want to thank God for the result that He has given me.. though it's a slight drop, but to me, it's still a very good result.. Praise God for that!!

last Saturday was the finals for the oceans league 8-a-side soccer, ladies basketball, mini rounders and tennis.. Region A didn't won anything.. but we will JIA YOU for the next season!!

Sunday went to DG to buy some stuff for birthdays.. thinking very hard, what to get for present.. but thank God that i have decided on what to buy and settled it already!!

today was the worse day.. feeling so sick that i don't even feel like going to school.. but i still have to.. because my lecturer was going to give out tips for Thursday's test.. so that's why i have to go school.. or at least tahan.. anyway, i just want to thank someone for the prayer.. thank you~

to make my condition worse, the class was like a wet market, laughing and talking and playing music non-stop throughout the lessons.. as usual.. cannot even concentrate.. i almost wanted to stand up and just scream to ask everyone to keep quiet.. but i just suffered in silence and try to listen to lessons..

to the class, fun is all they can think of.. talking non-stop.. they seems like have a never-ending topic to talk about.. every lesson they are sure to talk.. but the problem is...... most of them are guys!! GOSH~ why do guys have so much to talk about? like aunties in the market.. at least the aunties in the market know when to stop and go home and cook meals.. but the guys.. haiz.. never knw when to stop.. even after being asked to the office for some "coffee session" and still.. haiz.. just like just now, in between lessons, when we need to change classrooms, they have done it again.. they also seems like have very itchy hands.. clearly that one of the classrooms along the walkway was preparing to start their lesson, except that their lecturer wasn't there yet.. then guess what? the bunch of guys from my class, having itchy hands fit again, opened and closed the door not once, not twice but 3 times.. until the class rep of that class have to talk to them.. and still never mind.. the guys from my class don't want to admit that it's their fault.. haiz.. all i can describe about them.. childish.. SUPER CHILDISH.. i feel ashamed as their class rep.. really.. for a few times, i wanted to say sorry to the other party.. but until just now, i just walked away and don't care about them..

that's all that has happened so far.. tomorrow having another test.. pray that i will know what to do.. See YA~

Hi everyone!

  5. Sliced Fishcake
  6. Bean Sprouts
  7. Prawns

hey peeps!
time to take a break from my studying of my notes for my test tomorrow..

i think i'm changing my blog to a weekly recipe book by Chef Prince Ethan.. wanted to pass my skills and knowledge to others, and to teach others homecooked nice and tasty food.. maybe some of you can give my ideas of what to feature for each week.. so there will be interaction between the chef and the students.. isn't that good?

last Friday went to Sentosa for an interview at One Degree 15 Marina Club.. that place..... WHOA! i must say.. is the nicest and beautiful place that i have ever seen in my 24 years of life.. the places that i can really see nice scenery is when i went overseas to New Zealand.. remember the Lord of The Ring scene? i did see those scenes there! and they are real!! but closest to home, this is the best! One Degree 15 Marina Club! and guess what? the chef that interviewed me was the Head Chef.. and that not much questions asked from him.. merely looking through my resume and that's all.. and guess what? he said that i'm selected for the job attachment! i'm like so happy..

http://www.one15marina.com/new/index.htm
check out this website for the sample of one of my working place.
Warning:
this website may make you scream, because of its beauty.. so..
be a responsible citizen.. lower your voice..

then yesterday, went for the second interview at Pasir Ris.. Beach Culture.. at the previous Fisherman's village.. talked a lot with the interviewer.. and guess what? i got the job too! so now, i have 2 job offers.. so ya.. don't know which one to go..

i don't know what to do to my project members and leader.. we have 4 projects in handle to be finished due in 2 more weeks, but all of them are not even started!! if anyone of you have this problem, what will you do? i even asked one of my lecturers whether i can do the project myself.. i just feel that they don't even bother about the project.. everyday thinking about whether any hotel or restaurant call or reply them for interview.. maybe to me, i have job offers already.. but i mean.. you still have to do your homework and projects in order to finish this school term well and score well.. but.. haiz.. they just can't be bothered.. and i don't know what to do..

things in life may not be smooth sailing..
full of burdens..
tiring and pits..
but..
as long as you pray..
pray and seek God..
He will bring you up..
carrying you everytime you're down..
all you have to do..
is to have Faith in Him..
and Pray..

Hi everyone!
It's Chef Ethan once again, teaching and showing you how to cook.

Today's recipe is for those who likes to eat western food, likes to eat chicken, but don't feel like eating outside food and fries like the coffeeshop-style.

Today's Recipe:

Roasted Chicken, Accompanied with Mashed Potatoes, Broccoli and Chicken Gravy

Ingredients needed:
  1. Chicken:
  2. Boneless Chicken Leg
  3. Paprika

  4. Salt
  5. Rosemary Leaves(prefer fresh)

  6. Vegetable Oil(enough to coat the chicken)
Mashed Potatoes:
  1. Potatoes
  2. Whipping Cream
  3. Salt
  4. Salted Butter
  5. Parsley(chopped finely)(Optional)

You can add any herbs or spices into the mashed potatoes.

Broccoli

Steps:
Mashed Potatoes:
  1. Boil the potatoes until they are really soft. This is to ensure you with easy mashing.
  2. Once the potatoes are soft, take them out and put them in a bowl of cold water to cool, peel off the skin and mash the potatoes.
  3. Add in butter, whipping cream and salt to make the mashed potatoes creamy and light.
  4. Add in chopped parsley to enhance flavour.(Optional)

Chicken:

  1. Preheat the oven at 180 degree.
  2. Clean the chicken. Do not remove the skin. It will add flavour to the chicken.
  3. Add in paprika, salt, rosemary and vegetable oil into a big bowl. Put in the chicken. Mix well. Marinate the chicken for at least 1 hour.
  4. Add a bit of oil into a pan. Heat up the oil.
  5. Once the oil is heated up, put in the chicken, with the skin side down. This process is to brown the chicken.
  6. Once both sides of the chicken is cooked and browned, put the chicken into the oven. This is to cook the chicken from the inside. Cook the chicken for 15 minutes.
  7. Take out the chicken when the time is up. Do not pour away the gravy.

Broccoli:

  1. Cut the broccoli into small pieces.
  2. Boil a pot of water. Once the water is boiling, put in the broccoli into the water.
  3. Check the broccoli from time to time. Check whether the broccoli is soft by poking a small knife into the stem.
  4. Once it is soft, cool the broccoli in ICE COLD water.
  5. Once cooled, put the broccoli into the chicken gravy.

When everything is ready, serve.

This is a very basic way to marinate the chicken. For those people who likes their chicken to be spicy, you can add in some chilli powder. The chicken is also good for BBQ. You can also change the vegetable to something that you prefer.

That's all for today. Hope you out there will like the recipe that is featured. Happy Cooking! Till next week!
